Signing for Hunan-Guangdong Home Furnishing Intelligent Manufacturing Industry

On the morning of September 12, 2017, the signing ceremony for the Hunan-Guangdong Home Furnishing Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park project (with a total investment of 20 billion RMB) and the second-phase enterprise (entry into the park) was held at the Management Committee of Guiyang Economic Development Zone in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. Fifteen renowned Guangdong integrated wood customization brand enterprises led by the Guangdong Door Industry Association officially signed to settle in, with a signing amount of 1 billion RMB. This marks the official settlement of a full industrial chain transfer and transformation project in Guangdong’s integrated wood home customization industry in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province.

Government leaders attending the on-site signing ceremony included Peng Shengzhi, Secretary of the Guiyang County Party Committee of Chenzhou City; Huang Siping, County Magistrate of Guiyang County, Chenzhou City; Zhou Binqiang, Director of the Organization Department of the Guiyang County Party Committee, Chenzhou City; and Yuan Shihao, Vice President of the Guangdong Furniture Association and Chairman of the Dongguan Furniture Association. Representatives of vice-chairman enterprises of the Guangdong Door Industry Association, such as Ouyang Jingang, Zhu Kunhai, and Tan Zengmao, as well as Deputy Secretary-General Rao Deliang, also participated.

At the signing ceremony, President Wang Ke stated that since the reform and opening-up, Guangdong’s furniture industry has established a comprehensive framework with complete categories, sophisticated equipment, and leading design, enjoying the reputation of “China’s furniture industry looks to Guangdong.” Currently, Guangdong’s furniture industry is in a critical transformation and upgrading phase. Some enterprises in the Pearl River Delta are actively exploring accelerated relocation to surrounding cities, eastern and northwestern Guangdong, and even other provinces, forming a strategic pattern combining headquarters economy with multiple production bases.

The Hunan-Guangdong Home Furnishing Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park is destined to become a demonstration base for Hunan’s home furnishing industry.
